I know it’s been few days but I’m still not over the Grammy Awards 2014.  From the “Queen’s” (Beyonce’s) opening act of Drunk In Love complete with a thong-esque body suit and cameo from her cutie hubby Jay-Z to having Jay thank the “beautiful light of a young lady” (referring to Beyonce) in his acceptance speech and telling his delish baby Blu that “daddy got you a gold sippy cup” (modeling how if you held the gold Grammy award to the side it looked like a sippy cup) to Pink showing some serious acrobatic moves that could rival any from Cirque du Soleil and Katy Perry’s performance of Dark Horse (to name a few) by the time I got to thinking about the fashion, it was like adding sprinkles to some already amazing ice-cream!!!  Check out my picks for best dressed at the Grammy’s below!

Pink

image

Pink looked radiant as she stepped on the red carpet in her stunning red Johanna Johnson frock that highlighted her ridiculous (in a good way) post baby body!!! I loved how she kept her makeup and accessories simple to not take away from this gorgeous gown!!!

Ciara

image

Ciara looked beautiful in her Emillio Pucci metallic gold gown.  The dress hugged her curves in all the right places making her preggers belly so sexy that I was kinda thinking (for a split second) should I go for round 3… but then I remembered, “Oh yah, that’s right, when I was pregnant I looked more like a swollen house and not quite like the hottie that is Ciara!!!”  Don’t get me wrong it was totally and completely worth it.  All I’m saying is at this moment (I never say never) the kitchen is fuc&*ing CLOSED!!!

Beyonce

image

Beyonce looked exquisite in this white lace number by Michael Costello.  Her best accessory by far- her doting hubby Jay Z.

Paris

image

I know everyone has their opinion about Paris Hilton but I have to say I’ve never seen her look better! Hilton glowed from head to toe in a white, beaded Haus of Milani gown. I loved how the gown was  “business” from the front with the high neckline and “party” in the back with all the sheer detailing!!! Her make-up summed up in one word- FLAWLESS.

Chrissy Teigen

image

John Legends model wife Chrissy Teigen looked stunning in a metallic gold number by Johanna Johnson.  I loved how the gown dramatically trailed behind her and how she paired it with only a few well-placed gold accessories, including Neil Lane earrings, Casadei sandals and a Kotur clutch.   I can only think that her wavy locks and side braid were meant to add a bit of rock-star edge to all of that metallic glamour.

Madonna

image

Seven-time Grammy winner Madonna (and the only person that could make a Ralph Lauren tux look so chic and glamorous) arrived on the Grammy red carpet looking hotter than ever.  I loved how she accessorized this look with major glam red lips, a black hat and cane, a silver beaded Michael Jackson-esque glove, and her adorable son in a matching tux!!!

Although my list for worst dressed at the Sag Awards far exceeds my list for best dressed I’m going to keep this post on the positive tip and disclose only my favs!!! On the bright side – at least things can only get better!!!

Amy Adams

image

Amy Adams is the epitome of old Hollywood glam yet somehow also looks incredibly modern in this cobalt blue dress by Antonio Beradi.  Amy’s asymmetrical frock is flawlessly tailored extenuating her svelte figure.  Styled to perfection with a retro bob, tangerine lips and beautiful sapphire and emerald earrings Amy nails her red carpet look from head to toe!!!

Isla Fisher

 image

They say happy girls are the prettiest and now we can totally see just how HAPPY motherhood and marriage has made Isla Fisher!  I love how the white silk Oscar de la Renta dress compliments her skin tone.  Styled with Bvlgari diamonds and emeralds, a Ferragamo clutch, and deep red lips Isla’s look is simply perfect!  Although I feel like I could dedicate an entire post to Isla Fischer’s hair, for the sake of time, I’ll just go with ridiculously gorgeous (think Pantene commercial in 3D)!!  Just sayin-for my hair to even remotely look like this would require an hour in a salon and, once I stepped out into the Miami humidity (or gave my kids a bath) I’d be back to square one!

Rocsi Diaz

 image

Rocsi Diaz gives a whole new meaning to the LBD (little black dress) making this sleek and sexy gown by Victoria Becham anything but simple.  The dress is tailored to perfection accentuating Rocsi’s ASSets (pun intended) throw in a sexy cutout and bra-let silhouette and you got yourself an over-the-top glam look!  Adding to this chic ensemble Rocsi keeps it fresh with a major hot pink clutch, a low ponytail, and beautiful  diamond chandelier earrings and bangle!

Renee Berg

image

I’m obsessed with red and obsessed with lace put them together and you get Renee Berg’s red lace frock by fellow Australian designer, Steven Khall.  The color couldn’t be more perfect against Rene’s skin tone.  What I love the most about this look? How it was styled of course!!!  I love the contrast of this beyond glam gown with understated jewels, neutral makeup and fuss-free sleek locks. Styled any other way this dress has the potential to be overdone (I’m thinking an up-do with matching scarlet lipstick) but Rene’s simplicity makes it look totally youthful, effortless and chic.

I knew the second after I wrote the title of this post my NY peeps would be rolling their eyes thinking, “Winter my a@$!”  As a fellow New Yorker myself, I completely get it and by no means am I comparing a New York winter to the mild, in comparison, 50 degrees we seldom get here. I’m just calling it “winter” for lack of a better word, promise!  Winter according to a Miamian is defined as any temperature that allows you to wear “winter-type” clothing (Uggs,  jackets, fur vests, knee boots..etc.)  without sweating and looking/feeling ridiculous.  Why some Miami folk complain if it drops below 80 (bible) personally, I adore this weather because it allows me to visit places in my closet that I don’t get to go to very often and, what’s more fun than that?!  And since I will always be a New Yorker at heart there’s something about these winter-esque pieces I just die from.   I mean if I’m ever shopping and come across an amazing cashmere sweater a moment of silence ensues and I get all sorts of nostalgic but then I walk pass the shoe department and immediately I’m over it!  (Ahh the shoe department- like sunshine on a cloudy day!)  Check out my #ootd (outfit of the day) below! Winter in Miami- Bring It On!!!

Amy Poehler

Love the comedic genius that is Amy Poehler but instead of laughs, jaws dropped when she stepped foot onto the red carpet in this totally sexy and chic black Stella McCartney number!!! Tailored to perfection this frock hugged Amy’s curves in all the right places!  Who knew the same girl who infamously rocked “mom jeans” on SNL could be so sexy!?

image

Naomi Watts

It looks like Jay Z isn’t the only one who prefers Tom Ford to “popping molly”!  Naomi Watts looked fierce in her metallic Tom Ford dress, which was the perfect hue against her sun-kissed skin and blonde hair. And can we talk about her body for 5 minutes!? Hard to believe this stunner is also a mom of 2 little boys! The dress fit her body impeccably and was styled to perfection with a gold chunky necklace and sleek bob!!! #idie

Paula Patton

Poor Paula Patton (well not really she does get to sleep with Robin Thicke) got so much negative feedback for her white Stephane Rolland gown but I completely beg to differ!! The media had a field day picking apart this dress and, believe it or not, it even landed Paula on a few “worst dressed” lists.  Not sure what all the flack was about but I thought the dress was totally chic, loved how it was styled (with a flawless bob, matching shoes, and beautiful chandelier earrings), and although some in the media felt like the oversized ruffle was reminiscent of a Kleenex I thought it was completely elegant!  Not to worry Paula I got your back!!!

Kelly Osborne

Who knew a break-up could look so good? Kelly Osborne, who recently split with fiancé Matthew Mosshart, looked so incredibly glamorous in her black Escada dress with gold floral detailing.  The dress fit perfectly and accentuated her curves in all the right places.  Looks like single life is treating Kelly really well!  I bet that ex-fiancé of hers is crying a river!!! P.S. Leave it to Kelly to make lavender hair look so chic!

Olivia Wilde

If I looked as hot as Olivia Wilde pregnant than I’d just keep having babies until I got my own TLC show!  (Think 19 Kids and Counting meets The Real Housewives).  Thank the lord my last pregnancy was totally so 4 years ago because if I had to be preggers alongside Olivia Wilde, I’d have to drown my sorrows away in Häagen-Dazs!!! Wilde’s emerald sequin sheath by Gucci was nothing short of perfection.  I love how the dress was so over-the-top glam yet she somehow made it look so effortlessly cool with loose waves, natural makeup, minimal jewelry, and of course that pregnancy glow!  The best accessory by far: That adorable baby bump!

Kate Beckinsale

Kate. Beckinsale. Is. hot. That is all. #girlcrush
(And her dress by Zuhair Murad isn’t that bad either.)
